Best of Times Travel just returned from Nashville Country Christmas!
Here are some trip highlights:
- Amy Grant and Vince Gill – at The Ryman (we got a back stage tour!).
- Wild Horse Saloon – We were able to get in a little line dancing on our trip!
- The Gaylord Opryland Hotel is transformed into a winter wonderland. ICE! Carvers from Harbin China transformed 2 million pounds of ice into this years theme of “The Polar Express”.
- Grande Ole Opry featured King Callaway, Suzy Bogguss, John Conlee, Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, Don Schlitz, Jeannie Seely, Michael Tait, and LOCASH. We also did a back stage tour where we got our chance to stand in the iconic “circle” which lets artist know that they have “made it” in country music.
- Country Music Hall of Fame – often referred to as the Smithsonian of Country Music, with an unrivaled collection of historically important artifacts of country music.
- Historic Studio B – Many legendary music artists recorded here including Chet Atkins, David Bowie, The Everly Brothers, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, Charley Pride to name a few. Elvis Presley recorded more than 200 songs here.
