The NEW Hit Show JESUS The story of Jesus is among the best-known in the world. Sight & Sound brings that story to life on stage in a way that will be anything but familiar. Jesus is an action-packed musical stage adventure – a journey alongside the most important person to ever walk the earth, and the everyday people whose lives he transformed forever. Audiences will experience the story come to life on a three-sided stage, featuring one of the largest, state-of-the-art LED screens in a theatrical venue—along with Sight & Sound’s famous animals…on stage and in the aisles.

 

Activities

Friday: We begin our travel to PA aboard a fully equipped motorcoach. There will be rest stops enroute before our afternoon arrival in the heart of Penn Dutch Country, Lancaster, PA. Enjoy a Full Commentary Back Country Tour of the Farmlands of Lancaster Country. Stops include an Amish Bakery, Farm Stand, Cannery the Kitchen Kettle Shops in Intercourse, and more as time permits. Settle into the Heritage Hotel in Mountville, PA a full service hotel featuring Loxley’s two-story Bar & Restaurant. The perfect retreat to enjoy friends at the end of our days touring the Dutch countryside. Tonight we head to Millenium Sight and Sound Theatre for the outstanding, Biblically-based theatrical production of “Jesus” - truly a sight and experience to behold. Included this evening is a magnificent and bountiful dinner at Plain and Fancy family style restaurant. Afterwards there will be time to shop in the gift shop for ‘Amish Goodies’ & Souvenirs. (D)
Saturday: Enjoy a Full American Buffet Breakfast before we depart for Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg - The crown jewel of our trip, is known as the turning point of the Civil War. A three day battle in July of 1863, Gettysburg is the most famous and tragic battle ever fought on American soil. A field that spans some forty two square miles, is where Robert E. Lee made his worst mistake of the war, giving the north a victory that would signal the eventual end of the conflict. We begin our journey here with a Narrated Battlefield Riding Tour. We will stop at Robert E. Lee Memorial - View Pickett’s Charge Battlefield - Drive through the Wheat Fields and along Devil’s Den - Ascend Little Round Top - Cross over Cemetery Ridge( Union Side) - and reach the High Water Mark of the Confederacy. You will also see the National Cemetery where President Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address. After our riding tour we arrive at the visitors center to see the film “Fields of Freedom” depicting the sounds and fury of the battle at Gettysburg. Time is provided to enjoy the “Cyclorama” along with time to visit the Gettysburg Battle Museum. Lunch will be on our own at the Cafe in the Gettysburg Museum. Tonight we enjoy dinner at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre along with their production of “Grease”. Dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks, and take a trip to a simpler time with Danny, Sandy, the T-Birds, the Pink Ladies and everyone else at Rydell High School.Following the show we head back to the Hotel. Sunday - Following our Full American Buffet Breakfast at the hotel we depart for the completion of our Back Country Tour of the Farmlands of Lancaster Country. Then it’s off to Longwood Gardens - Longwood Gardens is one of the premier botanical gardens in the United States and consists of over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows for our botantical enjoyment. After some lunch on our own at Longwood Gardens we’ll head for home with rest stops and a dinner stop enroute. (B)
