The NEW Hit Show JESUS The story of Jesus is among the best-known in the world. Sight & Sound brings that story to life on stage in a way that will be anything but familiar. Jesus is an action-packed musical stage adventure – a journey alongside the most important person to ever walk the earth, and the everyday people whose lives he transformed forever. Tuesday: We begin our travel to PA aboard a fully equipped motorcoach. This afternoon settle into the Sleep Inn Hotel in Mountville, PA our home for the next two nights. Tonight we enjoy a delicious Meal In an Amish Home - Join us for a meal on a non-commercial, private Amish farm, tucked away on a back country road, across from an Amish one-room school. This is an authentic, fully-licensed PA Dutch meal, served in the living room of an Amish home! See the life of the Amish from a whole different perspective as our tour director brings their traditions to life. (D)
Wednesday: Enjoy a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before we begin our exploration of the Dutch Country. This morning we begin our adventure with The Patriotic Magic Lantern Show - Travel back over 100 years to a time, “before the movies,” when the spellbinding drama and humor of the Showman and the spectacular projected images from his “Magic Lantern Show” dazzled audiences. Legendary story-telling skills, rousing music and sing-alongs, dazzling 19th century “special effects” — all combine to create this unique entertainment of the Victorian age. You’ll wave the flag and cheer as we re-kindle our Patriotic Spirit with the presentation of “This Is My Country!“ Travel back to the early days of America and joyfully share our Nation’s history in story, laughter, and song. From the early settlers at Plymouth Rock and the fight for independence, through the tragic struggle of North and South in the Civil War, explore our history as it can only be experienced ethrough the spectacular imagery and special effects of a Magic Lantern Show. Afterwards Enjoy a Full Commentary Back Country Tour of the Farmlands of Lancaster Country. Stops include an Amish Bakery, Farm Stand, Cannery, Winery, the Kitchen Kettle Shops in Intercourse, and more as time permits. Lunch will be on our own at the Kitchen Kettle Shops. Later this afternoon we head to Millenium Sight and Sound Theatre for the outstanding, Biblically-based theatrical production of “Jesus” - truly a sight and experience to behold. Included this evening is a magnificent and bountiful dinner at Plain and Fancy family style restaurant. After dinner enjoy The Chalk Talk - Memories of a Great Nation- Engage your senses through music, storytelling, and the amazing chalk artistry of a former Old Order Mennonite woman who offers insights into Amish culture with a story that comes to life and lights up before your eyes. With Memories of a Great Nation we relive the unforgettable era of WWII, and become inspired by the true meaning of “God and Country.” Afterwards there will be time to shop in the gift shop for ‘Amish Goodies’ & Souvenirs.
